Monday, October 27, 2008 FAITH/EVENT: Israel's 60 Year Existence by Rabbi Laurie

Christians Unlimited, Southern Illinois University’s own campus ministry, is sponsoring a presentation by Rabbi Moshe Laurie at the University’s Student Center Ballroom A on Wednesday, October 29 at 7pm. Rabbi says, “We’re going to be looking at the celebration of Israel’s 60th year in existence from whence it came, the pathway that it took, the truth of how Israel came into existence, and the socio-political things going on at that time. This will be from the year 1893 forward, a very short and snappy look-see at what is, what could have been, and what should have been. If you are interested in the truth from a warrior’s viewpoint historically, biblically and politically come one, come all.” Rabbi continues, “One of the major problems in this day and age is there are so much truths, half-truths, left out information that you don’t just hear a historical time-line.”

Rabbi Laurie was born in 1944 in Brooklyn, New York and was a practicing Orthodox Jew trained to become a Warrior of David. He served in the US Marines and later moved to Israel and was a former member of the Israeli Security Services where he trained sniper instructors and was with the Israeli National Police and Israeli Defense Forces. He received the Messiah in a dramatic “fulfillment of the Lord Jesus Christ” in 1982. He also hosts a live radio program being aired Saturdays at 10 a.m. over WGGH 1150 AM, and is director of Bible Voice Broadcasting, USA. He now teaches “Spiritual Warfare: The Call to Arms” worldwide on the TCT (Total Christian Television, http://www.tct.tv/) network, DIRECTV, satellite and cable. Rabbi Moshe Laurie leads the Messianic Jewish congregation (named) Adat Ariel “The Lion of God” in Marion, IL. The services are held every Friday night at 7 p.m. at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church at 1409 East DeYoung Street.

Rabbi Laurie invites, “All are welcome. Come and learn, come and enjoy! There will be a question and answer session after, and we will be taping this teaching with DVDs available.” For information call 618-993-1078 or email: mailto:emaildeskoftherabbi@aol.com.
